Faces of Düsseldorf sets an example for diversity

Düsseldorf Festival, Düsseldorf
Function Event Art Culture Live

Innovative, precise, monumental

An extraordinary art project called “Faces Of Düsseldorf” by Jan Ising was illuminated throughout the center of Düsseldorf in 2020. And right in the middle of it all was our advanced media technology. We projected the faces of people from Düsseldorf onto half of a mask that measured an astounding eight-by-four meters. Through this unique piece of work a monumental symbol of diversity, unity and solidarity was created.

Innovative technology sets an example for diversity

It was our expertise that made implementing this idea on a technical level possible in the first place. Two high-performance projectors working in tandem provided razor-sharp images that were projected onto the huge mask. To adjust the portraits so that they fit perfectly, we also used a specially configured computer with advanced morphing software. The centerpiece at the heart of this technical endeavor was our innovative automation technology that created a time-controlled, precise and remotely monitored visual presentation.

A powerful message for everyone

“Faces of Düsseldorf” is more than just a technical project that we are proud of. It’s always something special when we are able to not only enrich events with our technology, but also help others to convey important messages.

For us, “Faces of Düsseldorf” is both a symbol of solidarity and oneness – as well as one of art and technology.
