Whether it's inspiring athlete stories, exciting deep dives or trends and lifestyle – at the POWWOW Sports Festival, those who shape and change sport have their say. It's about more than victories and defeats – it's about what it means to be an athlete off the field and about careers after sport. We provide the technological stage on which these topics are brought to life and discussed in an impressive way.

SIGMA is a festival partner and event service provider 

Together with the Carl Group and many other players from the worlds of business, sport and media, we make the festival's content visible and tangible. Our contribution: state-of-the-art event and media technology for the entire festival. Together, we bring the central themes of the sporting world to life at the Rheinterrassen in Düsseldorf – live, digitally and emotionally. 

Clear the stage for successful shows, talks and panels 

There are three large stages at the POWWOW Sports Festival – we are already in the planning stage and are designing them in 3D in advance. We are also providing the extensive technical equipment – the main stage alone consists of a 5-part LED set-up. In addition, we provide all the media technology, including presentation systems and recordings for networking formats, composer sessions and the professional implementation of panels in the business area. Our interactive media team also produces all the content for the recordings and stage show elements. Another highlight: a small live podcast setup. 

We manage all three stages live on site, ensure clear sound with high-quality headsets and microphones, and record the stage shows. Our full service in the field of event technology guarantees a technically smooth process at all times.

An experience to see and hear

In addition to the stages, the Sports Village features basketball, football and padel courts, HYROX areas, fashion and art exhibitions, content studios, lounges, bars and other experience areas – equipped with customised truss layouts, lighting effects, stage structures and LED walls. And we also provide the right lighting and professional sound to create the right atmosphere at the award ceremonies and the after-show party. 

Sporting performance in the field of event technology too

In the end, we installed a total of over 10 tonnes of material, more than 60 m² of LED surface area and almost 7.5 km of power and signal cables. The result: a seamless overall technical picture. And a powerful format that connects sport and business into one community. For which we create special experiences with event technology and further strengthen the city of Düsseldorf as a location for sport and culture.
