Nearly 50 years in the market, over 50 projects a year, over 80 specialists.
Most projects don’t fail because of the technology. They fail at the interface.
An agency develops a strong concept – but only realises at a late stage what is technically feasible and what isn’t. A systems integrator reliably builds what they’re given – but rarely questions whether the idea behind it is sound. An AV service team ensures smooth operation – but is only brought in once the planning is long since finalised.
Three disciplines, three points of contact, three areas of responsibility. And right in the middle of it all: you, who have to hold it all together.
This is precisely the gap we bridge.
We are not an agency that simply buys in technology, nor are we a systems integrator that merely installs according to a plan. We call this Creative Technology: we develop the production, build the technology that supports it, and manage it once it is up and running.
In practical terms, this means: anyone who brings an idea to the table is met with a partner who thinks creatively alongside them. Anyone planning an installation receives a system that will remain expandable even in five years’ time. Anyone seeking operational reliability won’t be dealing with a call centre, but with a team that has known the system from the very beginning. This combination is rare – because it requires different skill sets under one roof. At SIGMA AV, creatives, planners and technicians work on the same project, not in separate departments.
You have a goal – an event, a venue, an experience. We turn that into a concept that works: creatively conceived, technically vetted, economically calculated. We are manufacturer-neutral, because we recommend what suits your project – not what happens to be in stock.
We don’t plan with the opening day in mind, but with the years that follow. Interfaces with IT and building services, scalability, availability of spare parts – these factors are determined during the planning phase, not afterwards. That is why our planning is always geared towards operational use, not just for the handover.
Digital exhibitions, interactive installations, hands-on brand experiences: we don’t just develop the technology behind them, but also the presentation that truly engages visitors. From the initial idea through to content design and technical implementation – all from a single source.
A system that simply works is not necessarily a system that evolves with you. Managed Service at SIGMA AV means: we monitor, maintain and adapt – before a problem even arises. Your installation doesn’t become obsolete; it continues to evolve.
We start with questions, not products: What for? For whom? Under what conditions? In workshops, we clarify objectives, intended use and framework conditions. The outcome is a agreed requirements specification, even before the first component is selected.
We present spaces and events in 3D and 360°, and showcase staging concepts for interactive experiences. This allows a project to be viewed and explored, rather than simply evaluating a concept on paper.
We plan audio, video, control systems, networking, IT interfaces and building services as a single integrated system: using CAD for permanent installations and construction and rigging plans for temporary set-ups. This results in planning documents upon which all trades can build.
We install and programme control systems and audio DSPs, and set up test configurations in advance. This is followed by commissioning and documentation. A dedicated project manager oversees the project from start to finish, ensuring the system is operational from the outset and that your team has the documentation needed to understand it.
We train your staff, maintain and monitor the equipment, and support the entire lifecycle. For events, this includes post-event support. In this way, the project transitions into ongoing operation.
Concept and technology are developed by the same project team
Creative professionals, planners and technicians work together on the project, rather than one after the other with different service providers. Technical limitations are therefore identified whilst the concept is still malleable. This saves on coordination rounds and prevents good ideas from being cut back on the way to implementation.
Manufacturer-neutral, as we work with over 100 manufacturers
We are not tied to any particular manufacturer and select the most suitable option for each project on a case-by-case basis. We recommend what suits your project, not what sales targets dictate.
A single point of contact, even after handover
With us, there is no handover between consultancy, implementation and operation – and therefore no gap in responsibility. We currently manage 35 installations as part of our Managed Service, on a long-term basis and not just until handover.
Experience that shows in every project
Over 3,600 projects, ranging from equipping individual meeting rooms to large-scale events lasting several days. We know the pitfalls because we encounter them every day, and we’ve left the teething problems behind us. What we propose has been tried and tested in practice, not just thought through on paper.
Sustainability as a planning principle
The most sustainable system is the one that lasts a long time. We plan with durability, expandability and the availability of spare parts in mind, rather than rapid replacement. And we take operation into account: via network-enabled power strips, media technology can be completely disconnected from the mains outside of usage times – either via a timer or remotely – rather than constantly drawing power whilst in standby mode.
